This is a used Kustom Signals HR-12 Moving/Stationary Handheld K-Band Radar Gun.  Radar is in fair physical condition with typical signs of use and wear from being a field-used unit.  This was a very popular unit that is still in use by some departments today. Case is included, it's not the exact case for the HR-12 although it fits in rather well with enough padding around it to keep it safe when stored.
Unit is powered by a standard automotive power jack (lighter plug).  Radar powers on and passes all self tests. I aimed it at several moving objects and it was able to record speed. Unit reports accurate speed for test tuning forks (
none included
) in stationary and moving mode. The LCD display is working properly, no missing elements at all.  Audio does work, although the volume knob needs to be turned all the way up before audio is heard. There are two switches on the top of the unit to control the mode as well as the squelch settings.
The unit can operate in stationary or moving (towards you) modes.  In stationary mode I tested the unit and it works great in stationary mode with forks. In moving mode, the unit sometimes shows a random speed until the speed is established, once it has the speed than it can calculate the oncoming speed of vehicles coming towards you.  It comes with a wired remote control that can Lock/Release speed as well as put the radar in "Hold" mode so it's not constantly transmitting.
A sticker on the unit shows it was last certified in April 2021 (expired April 2022). Calibration is not assumed or warranted in any way.
This unit reports in MPH (miles-per-hour) speeds only, I do not know if it can be converted. Do your research prior to purchasing if you need this in different standards as I can't answer that question.
Selling this unit as-is due to the abnormal behavior with ghost/random speeds. Sold for parts/repair.
