Comer Universal Rotary Cutter 90HP Gearbox

Description

This is a new Comer LF-227J gearbox for use on rotary cutters and bushhogs. We’re cleaning out our parts room and starting these gearboxes on auction priced at about 1/3 of what they would normally go for. They’re a little dusty but new and unused, the only wear they have on them is when I've moved them around the shop.
These gearboxes are rated at 90 HP and have a 6 bolt hole pattern with the holes on 4” centers and are the perfect low-cost solution for repairing the gearbox that you tore up last season, just in time to be ready for this coming spring.  Check the bolt-hole pattern on your mower deck.  These may match exactly or you may have to drill new holes or weld this gearbox on to your mower deck.
The shaft that goes through the deck of the mower or rotary cutter (it has the nut on it in the picture) has 15 splines and is 4 3/16” to the end of the threads and 2 ½” to the end of the splines (see the pictures for details). The other shaft has 20 splines and is 4 1/8” long (see the pictures for details). Please take a look at the pictures and let me know if you have any other questions.
The gear ratio is 1.5:1.
Please note that the gearbox will need oil added to it before you use it.
