Hand carved wood.  Cover is Goatskin.  Tension knobs all turn to adjust.  Strings are ordinary nylon - does make a twang but not musical quality.  Embellished with Cowry shells.
Do not let the low price fool you - this piece will fit in with the most expensive of collections.  Will catch the eye and the hands,  display with care as all will want to grab and attempt to strum.
