This 1997 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra coupe was first registered in Virginia and spent time in Florida and North Carolina before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022, and it now shows 17k miles. Finished in Pacific Green over tan leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 4.6-liter DOHC V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a rear wing, 17″ alloy wheels, fog lights, air conditioning, cruise control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a factory CD/cassette stereo as well as Flowmaster mufflers.
Work performed in preparation for the sale included replacing the dampers and lower ball joints as well as changing the oil and tires.
This SVT Cobra now shows 17k miles and is offered by the selling dealer with a clean Carfax report and a clean North Carolina title. The car is finished in Pacific Green (PS) and features a rear wing, integrated fog lights, SVT and Cobra badging, a domed hood with air intakes, and polished dual exhaust outlets.
Cobra-specific 17″ cast aluminum wheels were mounted with 245/45 Nitto NT555 G2 tires in preparation for the sale. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with Cobra-branded front calipers. The front struts, rear shock absorbers, and lower ball joints were replaced in October 2022.
The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in tan leather, with color-coordinated trim on the lower dashboard and the door panels. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, and a factory CD/cassette stereo linked to a Mach 460 sound system. Photos show a blemish on the passenger seat, and wear is visible on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat. The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 17k miles, approximately 25 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The 4.6-liter DOHC V8 was factory rated at 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. A label affixed to the right valve cover displays the signatures of the engine builders. The car is equipped with Flowmaster mufflers, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Manufacturer’s literature will accompany the car along with three keys, an operable fob, and a car cover.
