Engine is high compression at over 10.5:1, built for nitrous with forged pistons and balanced lower end. Has never had nitrous run on engine. Engine was built in 2001 and has less than 20,000 miles on it, odometer is not native to the car (they did not offer the 140mph speedo in 1988) so this IS NOT the actual milage. Engine runs strong, could use perhaps a better valve adjustment but these shim style rockers have always been mechanical sounding. Also has a gear drive timing system by Edelbrock that really gives it a whine. Battery has been relocated to the trunk. Transmission shifts awsome like a Tremec should, cluch is stiff and as these non-hydrolic heavy duty clutches were back in the day with updated quadrent and morotsport cable. Does not slip, bites hard and good response under hard acceloration. Has the scatter proof bellhousing and performance shifter. This car is a lot of fun! It is VERY hard to drive without being noticed.
Two decades of building, over ,000 in late 1990's and early 2000's dollars JUST IN PARTS. Vehicle needs the interior trimmed out, has some damage to the hood and cowel - includes extra hood, exact same. Has brand new windshield. Has small area on rear trunk that paint flaked off, actually the whole decklid could use paint as it was panted at a later date for the Saleen spoiler. Body is solid and no rust on exterior or in the rear wheel wells. Typical surface rust underneath for 1988 but nothing structural. One small hole in passengers side floor board size of a half dollar. Torque boxes are solid and not pulled out.
Front right bumper clading needs a fresh strip of double sided tape. Fuel gauge is a
little wonky, shows full until you get down to the last few gallons then it works as normal, so at least it's somewhat functional and you'll know when to refill before running out.
HAS NO VINYL TOP! Has the frame and all parts including new cylinders and freshly rebuilt pump. Also includes extra parts frame and many other interior and exterior trim parts along with two extra matching chrome five star rims. Bring a truck and I'll load up the bed with goodies!
The car is not perfect but it's not too far off! Lots of room to add your own personal touch. Anyone who knows these cars knows just the high end parts and kits on this car are worth the asking price... some of which you can no longer even buy anymore!
Vehicle runs and drives and could be loaded on an enclosed transport. Could also be driven home if you had fair weather or a tarp and were willing to pull off the road since it has no wipers installed. This car is only driven in good weather anymore, and it's really something of a toy at this point. It's a whole lot of fun for very little money.

Even still, it's looking like I'll probably be spending the winter with this vehicle, so for people not
mechanically
inclined
or at looking for a more finished Mustang you'll be most pleased next year when I finish up. For the mechanically inclined, who wish to save money and put their own touch on a car, you'll be devistated next year when the price is much-much higher. My future plans, if it does not sell are a little cosmetic, new top and nitrous over the winter and spring. As you know, these listings cost each...
