Vehicle Details
1985 Ford Mustang Convertible 5.0 AOD. Car runs, drives and stops but is a project and will need some restoration.
Good:
All original never modified
58,000 on odometer, appears it could be actual miles based on car fax, condition and marti report (included with car)
Decent paint, appears to be a repaint
Runs, has new plugs, wires, cap, oil, battery, headlight bulbs and battery cables
I have also collected new shocks, rotors, baring and seals, shocks and gaskets all which are included with the car.
Solid restoration candidate
Needs attention:
Though rust isn’t terrible, it does have a quarter sized rust through hole on the rear driver side lower panel, rust in the bottom of the doors and some corrosion in small areas on the lower body panels. Nothing crazy considering it’s age.
Everything rubber will need to be replaced, it’s a barn find and everything rubber has petrified
Needs new top, also petrified
Good cleaning and detail
A/C doesn’t work or at least I don’t think it does. (It’s 37 years old)
Leaks oil, gaskets need replacing ie value covers, probably main seal etc.
needs rear gear oil(which is included) feels like the clutches in the diff are stuck probably from sitting for so long. May work out on it own with new oil and friction modifier
If you have any questions feel free to ask, hate to sell it but it’s more then I can accomplish right now and I want to see it fixed up and back on the road.
