Buy it now or best offer. Please read all description before bidding. Very low production 1983 Mustang GT convertible. 993 U.S. production, 8 Canada Production of only 1001 build total. This is not a GLX model of which many were made, but a factory GT convertible. The first year convertible on the fox platform since being brought back from 1973 with a great red on red color combination. First year GT convertibles were held off as midyear limited builds near the end of run. Please note: THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS A NON OP ROLLER ONLY. Was originally built with a 5.0 H/O 4V and 5-speed trans. Everything you see on body comes with vehicle with the exception of wheels shown. Plain roller steel wheels (not shown) will replace the wheels you see on vehicle in pictures. Car will NOT COME with radiator, engine or 5-speed transmission. But comes with everything else shown, less wheels shown in picture. This vehicle has a good body underneath but full of dents and dings on every panel. Has a very nice high end newer Hartz black Mercedes style fuzzy convertible top in excellent condition. As well as nice dash with no cracks and nice dash pad with no cracks with very nice interior door panels with upgraded speakers and great carpet with no tears. Seats have been replaced with the correct seat frames that were not in vehicle when received. They are blue and will need recovered to red. Once recovered again with a seat kit, interior will look very nice as you can see. PO or past owners Built the engine for power with quite a cam idle plus aftermarket high rise intake and larger carb with other mod's to engine. After many attempts and much cost, it will not pass emissions no matter what. That is the reason for selling as a roller only and will be using drivetrain from it in an older non emission car. Power door windows work, top works, heater works, lights work, A/C was apparently disconnected and deleted under hood when engine was built up so no compressor with car. Car did come from factory with A/C and cruise control with the tilt leather wrap steering wheel. Still has the 3:27:1 traction locking rear end it was built with. A good car to save, however if no interest as a complete body will be open to parting out the nice top, interior or anything else someone may need before recycling balance not wanted. Have many other complete nice early and late fox Mustang vehicles 79-91 that run and drive with nice interiors and bodies. All rust free with clear titles from early 79 pace cars, cobra's and GT's to later style GT's. All cars either V/8 5-speed, V/8 4-speed or V/8 AOD cars.
